Diversity

On Friday night, we had "Japan Knight".
It was to introduce Japanese culture to people from other countries.
Some of my friends performed to dance, sing, play music, and play a skit. It was really fun!!!

Actually, I was ashamed to show parapara dance to other people as Japanese culture, cause I didn't like the dance style.
However, when I watched their dancing, I thought it was really good.
My feeling that I didn't wanna introduce the dance might have been just prejudice.
I'm kinda a conservative person though the trait is getting better.

But, lately I feel I'm changing my thoughts, idea, and attitude.
Although I don't know a specific reason, I guess it may be because of my friends.
In this semester, I hang out with my friends who are from different countries.
I really love to hang out with them cause I can know differences & diversity.
When I was in Japan, I just didn't like to try or even know new stuff.
I just liked to keep doing same things cause was worried & afraid of being alone or being different from everyone.
But now I do love to try new things & know distinguish people, langage, and culture.
It's even Japanese.

So, thank you for all of my friends!
And thank you for oppotunity to think about that through the Japanese event.

I wish I was there to see the dance you're talking about, but still the traditions have to be followed, so next time you're going to perform this dance for me, deal? The one thing that I like here is thet you meet people so different from you, with different background, and religion, and points of view.
